Senior Performance Marketing Strategist

Remote
Part Time
Experienced

We’re helping a client find a Senior Performance Marketing Strategist to lead both the strategy and hands-on execution of paid media campaigns across several high-value accounts.

This is a senior individual contributor role, ideal for an experienced performance marketer who can confidently engage with senior marketing leaders, design high-impact strategies, and personally build, test, and optimise campaigns to drive measurable growth.

You’ll act as both strategist and operator — translating business goals into performance plans, executing campaigns directly, and continuously refining them using data.

Role Details

Commitment: Part-Time (approx. 10–15 hours/week; may fluctuate depending on workload/projects)
Location: Fully Remote
Working Hours: Primarily UK hours, with some early overlap with US time zones
Engagement: Independent Contractor
Start Date: ASAP
Monthly Rate: Open, depending on level of experience

What You’ll Do

Strategic Ownership

  • Develop and own sophisticated, multi-channel paid media strategies focused on improving lead quality and conversion performance

  • Design campaign frameworks aligned to audience segments (industry, seniority, funnel stage, product, etc.)

  • Identify, test, and scale new paid channels beyond Google Search and LinkedIn to diversify acquisition sources

  • Lead quarterly strategic planning sessions with clients to align marketing efforts with business goals

  • Design and refine attribution approaches suitable for long or complex sales cycles

Hands-On Campaign Execution (Core Focus)

  • Directly build, launch, and manage campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and other relevant channels

  • Perform day-to-day optimisation including bidding, targeting, audience segmentation, creative testing, and funnel adjustments

  • Set up conversion tracking, audience lists, and campaign structures to ensure accurate measurement

  • Continuously run experiments on creatives, messaging, landing pages, and audience strategies to improve performance

  • Proactively troubleshoot delivery issues, performance drops, and tracking inconsistencies

Client Strategy & Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary strategic advisor to clients, providing clear insights and actionable recommendations

  • Lead regular strategy calls, presenting performance updates, learnings, and next-step plans

  • Build trusted relationships through proactive communication, expectation setting, and transparency

  • Ensure clients understand both strategic direction and operational execution

Performance Analysis & Reporting

  • Take accountability for improving lead quality, conversion rates, and ROI while maintaining or growing volume

  • Track and analyse metrics such as cost per qualified lead, pipeline contribution, conversion rate, and revenue impact

  • Produce monthly and quarterly reports with actionable insights (not just data summaries)

  • Use performance data to refine targeting, messaging, budget allocation, and channel mix

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Translate strategy into structured action plans with clear priorities and measurable outcomes

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (creative, content, leadership) to support campaign performance

  • Share insights, learnings, and best practices to strengthen overall marketing capability

  • Stay current on paid media trends, platform updates, and emerging growth opportunities

What We’re Looking For

Must-Haves

  • Senior-level experience managing paid media strategy and execution (at least 5 years)

  • Strong hands-on experience with platforms such as Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads

  • Proven ability to both design strategy and execute campaigns independently

  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate data into actionable decisions

  • Experience working directly with senior stakeholders or clients

  • Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken)

  • High ownership mindset and reliability in a remote environment

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience in B2B or lead-generation focused environments

  • Familiarity with long or complex sales cycles and attribution challenges

  • Experience testing and scaling emerging acquisition channels

  • Background in agency or growth consultancy environments

Why This Role

  • Senior-level autonomy with real strategic influence

  • Direct exposure to high-value accounts and leadership teams

  • Opportunity to shape acquisition strategy, not just execute tasks

  • Flexible remote setup with part-time commitment and potential for growth
