A Cape Town–based tourism company is looking for a Social Media Manager to lead day-to-day content and social media execution. You will plan, create, and publish engaging content, manage consistent posting, and grow audience engagement across platforms.

What You'll Be Doing:
As a Social Media Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day execution of content across social platforms, ensuring consistent posting, strong engagement, and accurate brand representation. You’ll turn raw assets into engaging content, support audience growth, and help drive interest and booking inquiries through effective social media activity.


Content & Social Media

  • Plan, create, and publish engaging content across Instagram, TikTok, and other relevant platforms
  • Turn raw tour photos and videos into high-quality, engaging posts
  • Maintain a consistent posting schedule and ensure strong audience engagement
  • Ensure all content accurately reflects the brand and offerings

Growth & Performance

  • Support growth in followers, engagement, and inbound inquiries through consistent content execution
  • Assist with basic paid social campaigns (Meta, TikTok) where needed
  • Contribute to improving content performance based on platform insights and trends
  • Help support booking interest through effective social media activity

Community & Responsiveness

  • Respond to social media messages and inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Use templates and guidelines to handle common booking-related questions
  • Help ensure no inquiries are missed across social platforms
What You'll Bring:
  • 2–4+ years of Social Media Management experience, preferably within tourism, travel, lifestyle, or experience-based brands
  • Strong hands-on experience creating and publishing content across Instagram, TikTok, and similar platforms
  • Proven ability to grow engagement and maintain consistent, high-quality social media activity
  • Confident executing content plans and adapting to brand tone and visual direction
  • Good understanding of what performs well on social platforms and audience engagement drivers
  • Organized, reliable, and able to manage day-to-day social media activity with minimal supervision
  • Proactive mindset with attention to detail and consistency in execution
