Mid Level

We are seeking a creative, highly organized Social Media Strategist & Content Creator to join a fast-moving video production company. This is a hands-on, multi-faceted role for someone who truly lives and breathes social media, knows how to build content that performs, and can confidently turn brand goals into clear, effective social strategy.

Working closely with the founder and the wider creative team, this role helps shape client campaigns, develop content ideas, and own the social approach from high-level planning down to execution. The focus is on a candidate who is both strategic and practical—someone who can architect big-picture distribution plans, lead client-facing strategy conversations, and seamlessly roll up their sleeves to edit high-quality social films and reels.

Part-time: 20 hours per week
Remote: Fully remote (client based in the Bailiwick of Jersey)
Engagement Type: Independent Contractor
Monthly Rate: $700-880 (based on a 20-hour workweek; flexible depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build comprehensive content plans tailored to diverse client goals and audiences, advising directly on what to create, how to position the brand, and how to distribute content for maximum reach and ROI.
  • Conceptualize native social content ideas, thumb-stopping hooks, and platform-specific campaign plans that are both creatively distinct and commercially effective.
  • Join client calls and confidently present social strategies, explaining the data and psychological reasoning behind creative choices clearly.
  • Edit social films, reels, and short-form video assets to a polished, high standard, ensuring pacing and visual style fit social-first consumption behaviors.
  • Support the production organization behind the scenes, assisting with call sheets, shoot preparations, and balancing creative priorities with operational timelines.
Role Requirements (Must-Haves):
  • 3+ years of professional experience in social media strategy, digital marketing, or content creation within an agency or video production environment.
  • Exceptional understanding of social platforms, current trends, and the mechanics of platform-specific algorithms.
  • Proven ability to edit high-performing short-form video content independently (Premiere Pro, CapCut, or DaVinci Resolve).
  • Exceptional written and spoken English, paired with strong presentation skills and a meticulous eye for detail.
  • Proactive and dependable mindset—comfortable being the internal subject-matter expert on social media while working independently without constant supervision.
Nice-to-Haves:
  • Conversational or professional fluency in French is a strong plus.
  • Practical experience working alongside film directors, camera crews, or within a dedicated production house workflow.
