Bookkeeper (AU)
We’re helping a pair of growing creative businesses in the ceramics and chocolate industries find a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support their financial operations. You’ll manage day-to-day bookkeeping across multiple accounts, ensure accurate records, and provide financial clarity that helps the founders focus on growth.
Part-Time: ~10 hours/week (with potential to grow to full-time)
Schedule: Flexible, but must be available for catch-ups in AEST
Location: Fully Remote
Engagement: Independent Contractor
Rate: 200-400 USD (10-hour workweek, depending on level of experience)
Start Date: ASAP
What You’ll Do
Manage QuickBooks Online including reconciliations, categorizing expenses, and invoice management
Clear existing backlog of bank reconciliations and maintain accurate, up-to-date records
Generate and send client invoices, track payments, and issue reminders as needed
Handle international transfers via Airwallex and similar platforms
Manage retainer billing for select clients
Track and organize financial records across multiple revenue streams
Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly reports
(Optional) Support with tax preparation and filing
What We’re Looking For
Proven bookkeeping experience (at least 1 year), ideally with small or creative businesses
Proficiency with QuickBooks Online
Experience handling international transactions
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Good written and spoken English communication skills
Comfortable with remote tools (Google Drive, QuickBooks, Slack/WhatsApp)
Nice-to-Haves
Familiarity with Airwallex or other multi-currency platforms
Understanding of Australian accounting/tax standards
Experience working in creative industries, eCommerce, or hospitality
