Social Media Director

Remote
Full Time
Mid Level

We are seeking a high-caliber Social Media Director with a growth marketing engine to scale the digital presence and revenue of a world-renowned orthopedic and sports medicine expert.

You will own the full funnel, turning decades of clinical expertise, medical research, and published books into high-impact, revenue-driving digital content. Your primary objective is to drive demand and sales for a medical recovery device, supported by the strategic marketing of e-learning courses and published books.

The Three Business Pillars

  • Medical Technology: Recovery tools (Primary focus for sales growth).
  • Education: Online courses and e-learning for medical/fitness professionals.
  • Thought Leadership: Published books and global lectures.

Full-time: 40 hours per week
Remote: Fully remote (client based in Chicago, USA)
Engagement Type: Independent Contractor
Monthly Rate: $1600-2000 (based on a 40-hour workweek; flexible depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and own a comprehensive social media growth and sales strategy across multiple accounts (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube).
  • Turn existing long-form content (lectures, talks, research) into high-performing short-form videos (Reels, Shorts, TikTok).
  • Produce videos with strong hooks, engaging on-screen text, medical diagrams, and clear visual explanations of complex recovery concepts.
  • Write captions, hooks, and CTAs designed to drive clicks, lead captures, and sales.
  • Develop keyword-optimized posts for reach and discovery.
    • Run email marketing campaigns via Klaviyo to nurture the community.
    • Identify, test, and scale viral content angles.
  • Support or run paid ads (Meta/Google) to amplify winning organic content.
  • Grow into a management role, eventually overseeing a content team as the brand scales.
Role Requirements (Must-Haves):
  • 5+ years of experience growing social media accounts specifically for revenue generation, not just vanity metrics.
  • Ability to build and maintain a structured content calendar while remaining agile enough to jump on trends.
  • Proficiency in AI-assisted content creation (ChatGPT/OpenAI) and Klaviyo for email marketing.
  • Comfortable with a "Sales > Views" philosophy and capable of taking full ownership of revenue outcomes.
  • Comfortable working with expert-level medical, educational, or technical content.
  • A proactive "self-starter" who doesn't wait for instructions.
Nice-to-Haves:
  • Advanced Meta/Google Ads experience with proven ROI.
  • Background in sports, fitness, or medical industries.
  • Experience launching viral campaigns for high-ticket products or technology.
Recruitment Process:
