We’re hiring a Junior Accountant / Junior Controller to support day-to-day financial operations and work closely with the Financial Controller and CFO. This is a hands-on, operational role with exposure to SaaS-style revenue models, client fund reconciliations, and crypto-related transactions.

This role is ideal for an early-career accountant with strong fundamentals who wants to grow in a tech-enabled, fast-evolving environment, take ownership of core accounting processes, and build a solid foundation toward a more senior finance role over time.

Role Details

  • Commitment: Full-Time

  • Working Hours: Bahamas time zone

  • Location: Fully Remote

  • Rate: $1,120-$1,920/month (depending on level of experience)
  • Engagement: Independent Contractor (PH-based 
  • Start Date: ASAP

What You’ll Do

Accounting Operations & Reconciliations

  • Perform daily bank reconciliations for operating and custodian accounts.

  • Conduct client banking reconciliations, ensuring strict separation of client funds and company funds.

  • Track and manage accounts payable, including expense booking and follow-ups on outstanding invoices.

  • Maintain accurate general ledger entries with proper supporting documentation.

Revenue Recognition & Accounts Receivable

  • Support revenue recognition across multiple revenue streams (e.g. subscription-based services, platform usage).

  • Monitor accounts receivable and AR aging, ensuring timely follow-up on outstanding balances.

  • Assist with subscription metrics, including:

    • Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR)

    • Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR)

    • Churn tracking

Crypto & Platform-Related Accounting

  • Track and reconcile crypto transactions on a daily basis (no trading required, but comfort with transaction flows is important).

  • Support reconciliation between platform activity and accounting records.

  • Assist in ensuring accurate financial reporting related to digital assets.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Assist in the monthly preparation of financial statements.

  • Support VAT reconciliations, filings, and quarterly reporting.

  • Help ensure compliance with relevant tax, financial, and regulatory requirements.

  • Support audit readiness by preparing schedules and documentation for external audits.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis (Support Role)

  • Assist the Financial Controller and CFO with:

    • Monthly budgeting and forecasting

    • Burn rate monitoring and cash flow tracking

    • Unit economics analysis (e.g. CAC vs LTV)

  • Support department heads in tracking and forecasting spend.

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Assist with implementation and maintenance of cloud-based accounting systems (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage Intacct, or similar).

  • Help ensure accounting systems sync correctly with CRM, billing, and payment platforms.

  • Provide input into improving accounting automation, workflows, and data accuracy.

What We’re Looking For

Must-Haves

  • 1–3 years of accounting experience, ideally:

    • In an accounting firm, or

    • Supporting SaaS, Tech, FinTech, or agency-style businesses.

  • Strong accounting fundamentals, especially:

    • Accounts receivable

    • Reconciliations

    • Expense booking and AP

  • Experience with cloud-based accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage Intacct, or similar).

  • Comfortable working with digital payment gateways and automated billing systems.

  • Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills.

  • High attention to detail and strong organizational discipline.

  • Clear communicator, comfortable working closely with senior finance leadership.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Exposure to crypto transactions or trading platforms (basic understanding is sufficient).

  • Experience with SaaS or subscription-based accounting models.

  • Prior experience supporting audits or working with auditors.

  • Familiarity with CRM integrations and automated finance workflows.
